Deep tissue massage

Deep tissue massage is a type of massage therapy that focuses on realigning deeper layers of muscles and connective tissue. It is especially helpful for chronic aches and pains and contracted areas such as stiff neck and upper back, low back pain, leg muscle tightness, and sore shoulders. The technique uses slow, deep guided strokes and firm pressure designed to relieve severe tension and reach below the superficial muscles. Deep tissue massage helps to break up and eliminate scar tissue.

It is often referred to as the “classic” massage since it is one of the most widely used techniques in massage therapy. Swedish massage involves kneading, tapping, effleurage (long gliding strokes), and rhythmic rubbing and stretching of the muscles using oil or lotion. It helps to improve circulation, reduce stress, increase relaxation, and relieve muscle tension.

Hot stone therapy

Cupping therapy

Cupping therapy is an ancient Chinese medical practice that involves using small jars made out of plastic to create a suction on the skin. It is intended to improve circulation, reduce inflammation, and relieve pain. The therapist places cups onto the skin to create a vacuum-like seal. The suction created pulls the muscle tissue deeper into the cup, leading to increased blood circulation and relieving muscle tension. Cupping therapy has been used to treat a variety of conditions, including back pain, headaches, anxiety, and even depression.

Thai combination massage

Thai combination massage is a type of massage therapy that combines traditional Thai massage techniques with other forms of massage. It is a full-body massage which incorporates stretching, joint mobilization, and massage of the major muscle groups using traditional Thai massage strokes. The massage typically includes the use of acupressure to help relax tight muscles and enhance the range of motion in joints. Other massage modalities such as Swedish, deep tissue, and trigger point may also be used depending on the therapist’s preference and the client’s needs. Thai combination massage can help reduce stress, improve posture and circulation, and increase flexibility.

Reflexology is based on the idea of the body having energy pathways known as “meridians”, which are believed to run throughout the body and connect to organs and systems. Stimulating these points with foot reflexology helps promote balance and healing within the body, reducing stress and improving overall health.

Lymph drainage massage is a type of massage that helps to reduce swelling and promote detoxification. It focuses on clearing out stagnant lymph fluid by stimulating and moving it through the body’s lymphatic system. Benefits of lymph drainage massage include reduced pain, better circulation, improved immune function, and enhanced feelings of well-being and relaxation.

The massage usually focuses on the skull, neck, shoulders, and lower back, but can also include other areas of the body as well. Cranial-sacral massage can help reduce pain and tension, improve range of motion, reduce stress, and improve organ functioning.
